To improve the discoverability of new content (ie for the content to be properly indexed for future searching and browsing by all site users), we strongly recommend that you add relevant geographic tags to any new content items you create. To do so, follow these steps:
Under Locations Tags:
Tag all place names relevant to the content. Separate terms with a comma. Start typing the name of a geographic location relevant to this piece of content (eg. Paris). Multiple terms are accepted. Terms are taken from the Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names® (http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/vocabularies/tgn/).
Wait for the pick list to be generated and choose the tag that is most closely related to the geographic location. These geographic tags are often generated in the vernacular of the region.
If the geographic location generates a list that is very large, open the Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names® (http://www.getty.edu/research/tools/vocabularies/tgn/) in a second window. Use that site to search for the geographic name and ID number
From this list that is created pick geographic name, find the ID number and enter that ID in the geographic locations tags field on the Serai page you are creating.
This relevant geographic tagging helps describe posted content and allows it to be found again by browsing or searching.
